Hello. I am 19 years old, I have two brothers and two sisters and I am half-Scottish. I was born in Ipswich, but I've been living in South Woodham Ferrers for twelve years now – when I am not on Canvey Island of course. I come from the wonderful parish of the Holy Trinity, and I have now been altar serving there for 11 years!
This is my second year at Walsingham House, and I wanted to stay because I have learnt so much in the last year here, which has made me want to continue growing in confidence, gain more experience and to continue working with young people, talking about my faith and just to trying to make some difference. It is definitely true that the young people we share retreats with give us as much as (if not more than) we give them, and I love that!
I am also starting a Foundation course in Youth Ministry at St. Mary’s University College in Twickenham this year which is rather exciting, and means I’ll be able to take a career in Youth Ministry further – which I definitely want to do.
When you come through the doors of Walsingham House I hope you get the most that you possibly can out of your time here, really immerse yourself in the retreat, and most of all... ENJOY YOURSELF!!! So here’s to another fantastic and blessed year! Toodlepip.
